The Nan Cheney Community Room is available for use by outside organizations. The room also doubles as the main space for the Jackie Macaulay Gallery. The community room can comfortably accommodate meetings of up to 20 people. The Nan Cheney Community Room serves as the main conference room for tenants of the SJC. Outside groups may schedule use of the community room for two months in advance. Please check the calendar for date availability. Also before your first meeting, you will need to sign and return the Conference Room Agreement Form. Fees for use are $1/attendee, or $2/attendee for meetings over 2 hours. Food and beverages are allowed as long as your group leaves the conference room and kitchenette cleaner than you found them, which includes emptying trash and recycling to outside bins! Dedication of Nan Cheney Community Room - November 12, 2010
On the evening of Friday, November 12th, the Nan Cheney Community Room was officially dedicated in honor one of the founders, the inspiration and light of the SJC, Nan Cheney. Nan's husband, David, and daughter Nina, gathered with family, friends, and members of the SJC organizations and board, to celebrate what would have been Nan's 80th birthday. Nan's dream of a refurbished conference room was the driving force of the work that was completed to get ready for the dedication. The SJC would like to publicly thank all of those whom have thus far, donated to the Nan Cheney Memorial Fund. It is those donations which have made the refurnishing and the realization of Nan's dream possible.
