Steve Herrick (he/him) is a founding member of the Interpreters’ Co-op, and works as its treasurer and coordinator, plus doing the occasional translation and interpretation. He is the MadWorC representative to SJC, and also serves on the board of the German School of Madison.

Martha Kemble (she/her) is a long-time member/owner of Union Cab of Madison Cooperative working in the Finance and HR departments. She is also a founding member of Common Good Bookkeeping Cooperative and serves on the Steering Committee and as Treasurer for Progressive Dane.
Board member representing LGBT Books to Prisoners
Shauna Koszegi (they/she) is an organizer at LGBT Books to Prisoners, a trans-affirming, racial justice-focused, prison abolitionist project sending books to incarcerated LGBTQ-identified people across the USA. They completed their Master’s at UW-Madison’s iSchool in 2015, with a focus on public library administration and systems. Shauna has worked in a variety of libraries since 2008, and currently works as a public library consultant for the Southwest Wisconsin Library System.

Annie Kraus (she/her) is an alumna of UW-Madison, with a B.A. in International Studies and Philosophy, with an African Studies minor and has a graduate degree from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies, where she specialized in project planning, management, and evaluation and conflict resolution. Before joining SJC, she was a part of Beautiful Trouble, an international network of artist-activist trainers whose mission is to make grassroots movements more creative and more effective.

Kristin Mathews (she/her) worked for the City of Madison for many years as East Parks Supervisor. Since retiring in 2020, she has been involved with Occupy Madison, a lead volunteer coordinator with the Willy Street pantry, and helped launch the “In Pursuit of Justice” campaign to hold Matt Kenny accountable for his role in Tony Robinson’s death. Kristin says, “I stand firmly with the mission and goals of the Social Justice Center and am proud to have been recently elected to the Board! My other hobbies include volunteering, biking and loving my friends and family!”

Stephanie Rearick (she/her) is founder and former Co-Director of the Dane County TimeBank, founder of Mutual Aid Networks, and co-owner of Mother Fool’s Coffeehouse. She also works as a musician.

Connor (he/his) is a community member and volunteer for the Social Justice Center. Connor has been volunteering with the SJC since he moved to Madison in 2021 doing mostly building maintenance and helping with some events. Outside of SJC he is an organic farmer, handyman and musician.
