In-Kind Donations
Since the needs of our community change every day, the best way you can support our neighbors in need is to make a monetary contribution, so that we may purchase the items that are most in-demand throughout the year. You can donate online or send a check in the mail to 1202 Williamson Street, Suite 1, Madison WI 53703. But if you would prefer to donate items/supplies instead, or want to send us something special, check out our wish lists below.

Our Free Food and Essentials Pantry Program
Due to increased pantry requests from the community, our supply of “essentials” is always lower than demand, so could really use your help keeping a steady flow of these items on hand. To make it easy to understand what kinds of items we accept and what our greatest needs are, we decided to share this list for anyone who might like to support SJC in the form of in-kind donations! We have a list for our pantry program and for our general organizational needs, check them out below.
We’ve used Amazon for our wish lists simply because it is the easiest, most accessible wish list format for most users that we have come across. If you want to support SJC by making in-kind donations, we definitely encourage you to find similar items for local and/or small businesses to order from wherever possible instead of Amazon. We have also made a MyRegistry wish list as an alternative to Amazon but it is not quite as straightforward to navigate as an Amazon wish list.
Here's a list of the most-needed items for the Pantry
Greatest Need: Personal Hygiene Products
Dental Care
Toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, floss - travel size and regular. Unopened and unused only.
Deodorant
Easy-to-use preferred (stick/solid, gel or roll-on that comes in a tube with a cap, as opposed to creams or bars) - travel size and regular, unused only.
Menstrual Products
Tampons and pads - tampons are vastly preferred. Can also accept alternatives such as "period underwear" and diva cups as long as they are new (UNUSED) and still in the packaging.
Bath/Shower Products
Body wash, shampoo, conditioner, soap - bottles preferred, but bars are ok as well. Travel and full-size. New or "like new" only (mostly full, barely-used, clean and free of debris).
Shaving Supplies
Razors, shaving cream, aftershave, tweezers. Disposable or razors with replaceable blades are preferred, can accept unused electric razors
Other Skincare
Body lotion, hand lotion, facial moisturizer, face cleanser, chapstick, hand/body wipes
Other Frequently-Requested Items
Underwear
NEW ONLY - UNOPENED, UNWORN. All sizes. Men’s boxer briefs and women's regular coverage briefs preferred, dark or neutral colors
Socks
Any sizes and type, gently used is fine. Most commonly requested are lightweight, ankle socks and warm socks for cold weather.
Cleaning products
Cleaning spray, multipurpose cleaning products, dish soap, sponges, disinfectant wipes - opened/slightly used is ok.
Laundry Products
Laundry detergent (powder, liquid, packs - anything works!) dryer sheets, opened/slightly used is ok. Preference for low/no fragrance and sensitive skin hypoallergenic
Paper Products
Toilet paper, paper towels, facial tissues, wet wipes
Sexual Health
Condoms and personal lubricant
