The SJC is teaming up with Onward and Upward, lead by AnnaMaria Bliven, to help individuals find work that works for them. Onward and Upward is all about equality to access jobs in the online job market and provides training and professional skills coaching to show people how to work online (for real). The first round of classes will run February 10-12, 9am-1pm at the SJC.
About the course:
-
Work full time, part-time, flextime earning $10-$20 per hour
-
See how to find and apply for a real online job quickly
-
See how to tell what is real and what is a scam
-
See how to write a resume and cover letter that gets you called for an interview
-
Bonus: See where on the internet you can work anytime and supplement your income
Then, after taking the course, through SJC’s partnership with Onward and Upward, participants will be able to use workspace and workstations at the SJC to work online.
