We are so grateful for our relationship with the Willy Street Coop; every week, they donate 100+ lbs of food to the Willy Street Pantry, providing high-quality fresh food and groceries to our neighbors in need free of charge. This Spring, we were fortunate to be awarded a substantial grant from the Coop’s Community Reinvestment Fund that is continuing to support our essentials pantry, community resource hub and our soon-to-be-installed outdoor phone charging station. And of course, when SJC was founded in 2000, we bought our building from the Coop when they moved into their current location down the street.
Check out this article by Kristina Kuhaupt in this month’s Willy Street Coop Reader about our ongoing collaboration and important work in our new community resource hub.
